Katy Perry: audio e testo nuovo singolo Rise, inno delle Olimpiadi di Rio

A sorpresa, Katy Perry ha rilasciato oggi 15 luglio 2016 Rise, il nuovo singolo scritto e cantato da lei come inno delle Olimpiadi di Rio, Brasile.

La canzone è un vero e proprio inno alla speranza, alla perseveranza, alla trasformazione, al convincimento e in pochissime ore ha già conquistato chiunque l’abbia ascoltata. Rise, che è stata scelta dagli USA come canzone ufficiale delle Olimpiadi 2016 che si terranno a Rio, è disponibile da oggi in streaming su Apple Music e in download su iTunes. Katy Perry ha raccontato, a proposito del brano:

Questa è una canzone che ha fermentato dentro di me per anni e finalmente è venuta a galla. Sono stata ispirata a finire il brano ora, più che per il mio prossimo album, perché oggi più che mai c’è bisogno che il mondo sia unito. So che insieme possiamo rinascere dalla paura, nel nostro paese e in tutto il mondo. Non riesco a pensare ad un esempio migliore che non le Olimpiadi dove gli atleti, con le loro paure e il loro impegno, si ritrovano per ricordarci che insieme possiamo risolvere, superare tutto. Spero che questa canzone possa essere di ispirazione per curare, unirci e crescere insieme.
