Hands: il singolo per le vittime di Orlando cantato da Britney Spears, J.Lo, Adam Lamber e tanti altri – testo e audio

È uscito il brano intitolato Hands dedicato alle vittime del massacro di Orlando avvenuto lo scorso 12 giugno al club gay Pulse.

Hanno partecipato alla registrazione della canzone tantissimi artisti di fama internazionale: Britney Spears, Mary J Blige, Jason Derulo, Tyler Glenn, Selena Gomez, Halsey, Ty Herndon, Imagine Dragons, Juanes, Adam Lambert, Mary Lambert, Jennifer Lopez, the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles, Kacey Musgraves, MNEK, Alex Newell, P!nk, Prince Royce, Nate Ruess, RuPaul, Troye Sivan, Jussie Smollett, Gwen Stefani e Meghan Trainor.

Hands, una ballata struggente dal ritmo pop edita dalla Interscope Records, è stata scritta il giorno seguente l’attentato da Justin Tranter, co-scrittore di Sorry di Justin Bieber e di altre hit, insieme a Julia Michaels e BloodPop. La notte del 12 giugno, un uomo è entrato armato nel club Pulse di Orlando con l’intento di uccidere i frequentatori del locale per gay. Prima che la polizia sparasse all’attentatore, l’uomo è riuscito a uccidere 49 persone e ferirne altre 53 in quello che passerà alla storia come l’omicidio di massa con il maggior numero di morti nella storia americana e contro la comunità LGBT. Colpito da questi fatti di cronaca, immediatamente Tranter ha composto Hands chiamando a raccolta 24 artisti della scena musicale internazionale per incidere il singolo. I proventi della canzone andranno alle famiglie delle vittime, per le cure mediche dei feriti e per centri di educazione.
